Bandarian, Vahe: We study the chemical transformations that underlie the biosynthesis of unusual bacterial metabolites by a variety of organisms.
Cordes, Matthew: Protein folding; Structural evolution of proteins; NMR spectroscopy; Evolution of Cro proteins.
Cusanovich, Michael: The Cusanovich laboratory focus on studies of protein structure and function, with an emphasis on biological recognition (protein-protein interactions), the role and mechanisms of protein dynamics in biologically relevant processes, and aspects of bacterial metabolism.
Gerner, Eugene: Our laboratory investigates the role of genetic and intestinal luminal risk factors in gastrointestinal (GI) carcinogenesis
Hausrath, Andrew: Structural biology, protein folding, mathematical biology
Haussler, Mark: Vitamin D action and receptors for the vitamin D hormone; Osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases related to calcium and phosphorus homeostasis, with specific reference to the function of the vitamin D hormone and sex steroids in bone remodeling; Molecular endocrinology: cell culture, monoclonal antibodies and gene structure as tools to study retinoids and steroid hormones as regulators of gene transcription.
Horton, Nancy: My research involves the structure-function relationships in DNA binding proteins and enzymes.
