Analytical Biochemistry

Faculty:

Aspinwall, Craig: Development of Novel Methodologies for Investigations of Cellular Signal Transduction - Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytical Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, Biophysics, Cell Physiology, Sensors, Instrumentation
Cusanovich, Michael: The Cusanovich laboratory focus on studies of protein structure and function, with an emphasis on biological recognition (protein-protein interactions), the role and mechanisms of protein dynamics in biologically relevant processes, and aspects of bacterial metabolism.
Gang, David: Biochemical Genomics, Plant Natural Product Biosynthesis (Specialized Metabolism) and the Evolution of Plant Metabolic Pathways.
Ghosh, Indraneel: The broad objective of our work is to use a repertoire of de novo protein design, directed evolution, and small-molecule approaches to target human disease.
Riley, Mark: Bioengineering, biosensors for toxicity screening, bioreactor design, applied spectroscopy
Saavedra, S. (Scott): Research interests include physical and chemical processes at solid-liquid interfaces, particularly those involving protein and proteo-lipid films; spectroscopic techniques to probe interfacial structure and processes; structure-property relationships in biomaterials and biological thin films; biomedical instrumentation, particularly optical waveguide transducers; analytical sensing devices based on biological thin films.
Yoon, Jeong-Yeol: Lab-on-a-chip for water quality, livestock diseases and food safety; Protein nanoarray for stem cell differentiation
Zohar, Yitshak: Integrated Microsystems; device science & technology
