Bierner, Mark:
Brown, Judith: Diversity and evolution of the genus Begomovirus (Geminiviridae); Biological types’ of the whitefly B. tabaci complex; Virus-vector specificity: functional genomics and proteomics; Geminivirus-vector interactions; Virus-derived RNAi resistance for crop protection; Molecular diagnostics for emergent virus-vector complexes.
Chandler, Vicki: Our research investigates mechanisms of gene silencing in plants. We use functional genomics and forward and reverse genetics to study paramutation, transposable elements, transgene silencing, and chromatin control of gene expression.
Fonseca, Jorge: My main interest is to look at the effects of pre- and postharvest variables on quality of fruit and vegetables. My programs aim to develop new information and alternative technologies for fruit and vegetable production, harvest, handling and fresh-cut processing. The ultimate goal is to aid the industry find economically feasible and environmentally safe practices and technologies that add value to the final product.
Galbraith, David: Biological Instrumentation; Developmental Plant Gene Expression; and Plant Functional Genomics.
Gang, David: Biochemical Genomics, Plant Natural Product Biosynthesis (Specialized Metabolism) and the Evolution of Plant Metabolic Pathways.
Hall, Jennifer: Mechanism of DNA repair and DNA replication in plants, mammalian cells, and animal viruses.
Huxman, Travis: Plant evolution and global change. Plant physiological processes. Acquisition and allocation of resources. Non-native species invasions. Effect of climate change on population, community and ecosystem processes.
